Doug has been a fixture in the fixed income markets since 2011, bringing over 14 years of hands-on trading experience to Tahoe Capital Group. He spent over a decade as a Senior Trader at Sierra Pacific Securities, where he handled everything from secondary market trading and municipal underwriting to inventory and hedge management. Most recently, Doug served as a Director at Stifel Financial focusing on electronic trading and inventory management for the Executable Markets group. Throughout his career, Doug has taken pride in mentoring junior traders, helping them navigate the fast-paced world of electronic execution.

A graduate of the University of Nevada with a degree in Biology, Doug brings a sharp, analytical perspective to the investment side of the firm. He is highly credentialed, holding his Series 7, 63, 24, and 53 registrations.

James Curran

Chief Executive Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Jim has dedicated his entire 16-year career to the fixed income markets, starting back in 2009. As a Senior Trader at Sierra Pacific Securities, Jim got a front-row seat to what it takes to build and scale a successful firm. Most recently, Jim served as a Director at Stifel, where he ran a proprietary municipal trading desk. His expertise is centered on the core of the business: trading, capital allocation, and navigating the complexities of risk and portfolio management.

Jim earned both his Bachelor’s in Journalism and his MBA from the University of Nevada. He’s fully credentialed across the board, holding his Series 7, 63, 24, and 53 registrations.


Matthew Leck

Chief Operating Officer

Matt brings a wealth of technical and market expertise to his role as COO, with a career in fixed income spanning back to 2011. He spent 12 years as a Senior Fixed Income Trader at Sierra Pacific Securities, followed by two years as a Director at Stifel, where he specialized in municipal trading. While his deep-market knowledge is centered on municipal bonds and certificates of deposit, his background in mechanical engineering gives him a unique, systems-based perspective on trading architecture and firm operations.

A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Matt is highly credentialed in the industry, holding his Series 7, 63, 24, and 53 registrations. He has always been a key mentor for the next generation of talent, having spent years training junior traders to navigate the complexities of the secondary markets with precision.
